Ranju,
It is the very same as on physical. Delete one of virtual disks, and go ahead to destroy SW raid. Remember to create snapshot first...

I ran into this issue couple of days back when I was trying to convert a Linux Debian (Lenny) which had a software RAID on it. I did cold cloning and it worked, but I ended up with 2 hard drives. How difficult is it to break the mirror after conversion? I am not overly familiar with Linux so any guidance would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Much safer solution is to 'sudo' that 'raidutil' command:
nagios ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: /path/to/the/raidutil

FreeBSD users don't like SETUID flags. ]:->

David - are you still working on this project? I just installed your yum rpms on rhel4.6 and everything works except for yum search. I get the following error -

[root@xxxxxxxxx yum-3.2]# yum search screen
Loaded plugins: allowdowngrade
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/yum", line 29, in ?
    yummain.user_main(sys.argv[1:], exit_code=True)
  File "/usr/share/yum-cli/yummain.py", line 229, in user_main
    errcode = main(args)
  File "/usr/share/yum-cli/yummain.py", line 104, in main
    result, resultmsgs = base.doCommands()
  File "/usr/share/yum-cli/cli.py", line 348, in doCommands
    return self.yum_cli_commands[self.basecmd].doCommand(self, self.basecmd, self.extcmds)
  File "/usr/share/yum-cli/yumcommands.py", line 559, in doCommand
    return base.search(extcmds)
  File "/usr/share/yum-cli/cli.py", line 696, in search
    for (po, keys, matched_value) in matching:
  File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/yum/__init__.py", line 1630, in searchGenerator
    sort_func = operator.itemgetter(0)
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'itemgetter'

Any ideas? Thanks for doing this work. The feature difference between yum 2x and 3x is significant and for those of us stuck with rhel4 your yum back port is a big deal.
